Kolmar is the home of 13 clubs based on the Papatoetoe Recreation Grounds and Kingswood Reserve. The oldest club was established in 1894 with the youngest established in only 2013. All 13 clubs run independently within themselves but in conjunction with the values and mission of the Kolmar Charitable Trust and share the facilities accordingly to their sports or clubs needs. The facilities are shared on a by bookings basis.

Kolmar Charitable Trust provides sport, leisure and recreation services from Komar and advocacy services for Sports Clubs. Kolmar is a sector leading Sport Club partnership project that is being modeled as the future for community Sports Club delivery.  The Trust has partnered twelve sports clubs who share the same facilities and resources to ensure the sustainability of their clubs and keep the costs of sport down.

The Papatoetoe Sports Centre was opened in March 2011 and was built by Papatoetoe Sports and Community Charitable Trust in partnership with Manukau City Council (Now Auckland Council), ASB Community Trust, New- Zealand Community Trust and other funders. The Centre is located at 295 Great South Road, Papatoetoe, Auckland. In April 2015 the facility was renamed Kolmar. Its facilities include an international hockey turf, 6 tennis courts, 2 netball courts, Indoor Cricket Centre, bowling greens, strength training facilities, Cricket, Soccer and Rugby fields, Bar and Bistro, and multi-purpose meeting and function rooms.
