PRFC AGM NEWS 2018

2018 AGM | Many thanks to all those who took the time out of their Sunday to come along to our annual general meeting yesterday.

We were very fortunate to have two representatives on behalf of Auckland Rugby in attendance - ARU board chairman, Stu Mather, and ARU Communities Liason and Facilities Manager, Brett Young. Thank you to Stu for presenting the ARU report. It's brilliant news knowing that the union has had a fine year not only on the field but also as an organization.

2018 has been a good year of growth for our club with the junior and seniors teams setting the example on the field. A lot of thanks must go to all our coaches, managers and volunteers for their time and effort to make this happen because, without you, none of this would be possible.

Off the field, our committee has been progressing in the right direction in terms of governance and organization sustainability which has been lead by our Chairman, Luke Mealamu. There is still a lot of hard work ahead to get us where we want to be as a club so 2019 is going to be even better. We have received fantastic support from CLM especially Fay Freeman who facilitated our sessions with the committee to put in place a clear strategic plan for 2018 - 2023. This is super exciting for our organization and stakeholders as it gives us direction and purpose to ensure we are all paddling the waka in the same direction. Bring on 2019!

Therefore we are proud to announce our Papatoetoe Rugby Football Club Office Bearers and Committee for 2019

GIVING BACK | We're really stoked to be able to send over a set of jerseys to the Sacred Heart School in Safotu, Samoa. Principal Sister Maria Tevaga reached out to us and we were more than happy to help out. Seeing the big smiles on their faces shows how much it means to them. It's the little things. All the best for your rugby tournament boys!

Big thanks to Sam and Karl from Auckland Rugby for delivering an awesome tackle box clinic for our U7s players transitioning into tackle next year. The kids had so much fun whilst learning how to tackle correctly & safely.
